A Skillful Way to Prevent Vaccination Exemption

CBC News recently reported that according to pending legislation, Ontario parents who refuse to vaccinate their children would be required to take an educational class. The mandate has been devised to encourage them to make informed decisions.

The reality is that once nearly obliterated diseases in the U.S. have made a reappearance in the recent past. In the year 2000, the Center for Disease Control (CDC) announced that measles had been eradicated in the United States. That was then, this is now. Last year there were 189 cases of Measles in the U.S. Thankfully this was a substantial decline from the previous years tally of 667, however still too high for a condition that had been obsolete in our nation. While the likelihood of contracting such a disease and bringing it back into the U.S. after traveling abroad is possible, the majority of cases were among unvaccinated children. Measles is just one example of a disease that has risen as a result of parents declining to vaccinate their children. Despite the CDCs attempts to educate parents on the importance of vaccines as well as the government's ongoing efforts to stress the significance, the debate still charges on. Some parents across the country have been choosing to withhold vaccines from their children and preventable conditions remain arise.
